Chapter:            Nu, Area XVI
Project Title:     Build-A-Bear and Books for Hospitalized Children

Description:

Nu Chapter members met at the Build-A-Bear Store in San Diego to construct twelve new bear friends all dressed to love with their own birth certificates and living in Bear Condos (Boxes).
The Bears are a part of a L.I.F.E. Foundation (Learning is For Everyone) Grant to purchase Books about Bears, which will accompany the Teddy Bears. These Books and Bears were given to young readers at San Diego Children's Hospital. These children are away from home and this project was designed to bring smiles to sick kids faces. Nu Chapter wanted to give something to HOLD and something to READ. (photos available of little girl with Bear and members holding bears at Build a Bear Workshop)

Chapter:            Eta Iota, Area XVI
Project Title:     Rachel Center for Women

Description:

Eta Iota Chapter donates specific items to the Center for homeless women. Coffee, peanut butter, jelly, toiletries, packets of sugar, powdered creamer and snack packs are some of the requested items. Eta Iota is expanding this project by serving an evening meal quarterly to the homeless women.
